On March 4th, my son Alex was born so I’ve been off work for a little while (before and after the pregnancy) but now I’m back to work. That’s one nice thing about working from home is it’s not quite the same type of struggle as going back to work away from home.
I was actually missing work. I think I needed the mental stimulation!
I’m very lucky that I have my own office on a separate floor (we live on 3 levels) so I feel like I’m “going away” to work and am able to better concentrate on my work.
It’s a little more challenging now that I have a 3-week old and an 18 month old to get everything done but I would much rather struggle with working from home than having to leave.
I worked again for the first time this past weekend. My biggest challenge? Sitting! I’ve been feeling pretty good following the pregnancy but I went to sit for 1 hour I was really sore. And I also feel a little slow with the editing and typing. But by the 4th day of work I felt more in the groove and I added a few pillows to my chair. That helped!
