A lot of companies do want full-time work at the beginning but you will find companies offering part-time work as well. I would look for companies that offer IC (independent contractor) positions as they will generally offer more flexibility. But also remember every company defines full time a little different. For me at Superior Global Solutions, they define full-time at 32 hours or more, which was perfect for me. And then some other companies define it as 40 hours a week which was too much for me. There are so many companies out there so you will find what you will need, just make sure you do the research. Whenever I wanted to find information on a particular medical transcription company, I would search through the Career Step message board and do a search on that company. And for job hunting, I always check out this website.
