I officially started working as a QA editor about a week ago and I just love it. This is the first time I’ve done QA (quality assurance) so I was a little nervous but luckily the accounts I’m working on (I do acute care reports for 3 different hospitals) are ones I have been working on since October of last year so I know them pretty well. Every hospital has their own account specifics so it can take time when you switch hospitals to get up to speed, to really know their “rules”. So I didn’t have to worry about that here.
It makes a huge difference working an hourly rate vs a production rate. I don’t feels so stressed about how fast I’m going or playing the numbers game all the time, trying to figure out how much I’m making and am I going fast enough, etc.
